Work Ootd - Week 13 // Autumn Fashion

21 & 22 April

Basically a day full of travelling. We headed straight to the airport right after lunch. It was such a chilly day where temperature fell to 12 degrees. It might not sound cold at all but with the strong wind and rain, it was pretty miserable. So as I was getting ready in the morning, I went for stretchy pants, boots, thermal worn underneath my denim shirt and a grey coat. Didn't want to pop on something too casual because we had to make a trip back to the office just to wrap things up before we leave. So all and all, we spent 7 hours travelling, including time we wasted at the airport waiting. 

Anyways if you watched the news few day back, a strong wind/typhoon hit New South Wales which was basically where I was, at the Sydney airport. The wind was travelling at 100km/hour and it was too strong for the cabin crew to open the cabin, unload previous flight passengers' luggage and load ours. So our luggage got held overnight at the airport and were scheduled to be sent over to us the next morning. Thankfully our flight wasn't delayed & we landed safely. Well, which also lead to no brushing, no bathing & no changing. So that's why I wore the same outfit for 2 days straight. #YOLO #smellybreathandgreasyhair

Weather was gradually getting hotter in Queensland and it was a little too hot for boots and a thicker top. So on Thursday I wore a nude flowy chiffon blouse paired with a simple blazer and a pop of leopard.

Nerd Travels : Fashion // Autumn Edit

Remember in the previous fashion related post I mentioned that comfy hoodie isn't the best option for a business trip? Well, I managed to take a few shots of the jackets/coats that I brought with me this trip. Take note that it is Autumn here in Australia so a slight thick layer is needed :) Since I only planned to bring a 23 inch luggage bag, I had to limit myself to only bring along the essentials.

Also, it is important to check the weather forecast to determine how much to bring and how thick the clothes should be. Since the temperature varies from 13-27 degrees, a thick outer + thin inner or a thin outer + thick inner would do the trick. My way of packing would be to go for a formal outer [since its a business trip], a simple blazer which could be dressed up & down, and lastly a fun piece. Since I don't have a coloured or patterned blazer, I went for my trusty black leather jacket.

All three of the pieces in the above could be paired with a cute skirt, ripped jeans, work pants, classic dress and even a sexy dress for any random night out! The possibilities are endless :) I will be travelling to China soon which will be spring with a touch of summer coming along, will keep you updated on my travel capsule wardrobe.

12 Feb Thursday
First ever annual dinner that I have attended and I had a great time! Food wasn't great but the wine and companion was amazing. Boss bought lunch, half day off work, mini nap, dressing up and laughter made an ordinary Thursday a tad bit wonderful :)

13 Feb Friday
Strolled around Setia City Mall for about 1/2 an hour during lunch time. Manage run errands and also a little treat from mummy. Cocoa Cappuccino with no sugar added. Oh! After work, yeah...it took me 1 1/2 hour to reach the saloon yesterday but thankfully my hairdresser waited for me *thankful*

Valentine what?! Bring me Valentino <3 By the way, I am currently trying out a new brow product. The makeup artist used it on me for my recent shoot and holy moly by brows were still in place after 12 hours! #hairygirlproblems
