1 Book That Changed My Life

Are you looking for a simple, good yet sarcastic read? Spent a part of my 1st wage on several self-help books when I was 19 and that was the best decision I've ever made. I have never looked back since. Out of the few that I bought, "Follow your Heart" by Andrew Mathews is the favourite of mine. Well, aside from "Rich dad, Poor dad" by Robert Kiyosaki.

I would love to share a little insight on how my father educated us to do what we love and not what we have to. In conclusion, to follow our heart. Remember when I was a kid, my father told me:"One day, if you want to be a rubbish collector. Make sure you be the best rubbish collector in town!" If you've read "Rich dad, Poor dad', you will know that my father has the "Rich dad" mentality that encourages his children to do what they want and not what they should. In which he wouldn't stop us from being a rubbish collector. But empower us to shower our passion with effort and be the best we can be.

So if you're wondering how this book changed my life? Andrew Matthews educated me on how to not care about what others have to say about my life & gave me the courage to take a step out of my comfort zone. He taught me to quit doing something if it's not working, instead of whining, complaining about how miserable life is and dreading to get through it. Andrew did not encourage me to be a quitter but gave me a lesson in life. To either suck up or shut up.

So I guess this is why I don't complain about my life : ) Definitely pick up a book if you are feeling uninspired  *wink*
