$3 Million ?!

Photo via Google

A week ago, me and my family brought up a topic: What would you do if you have $3million in cash?

We started discussing and boy was it hilarious. It was interesting to see how different people react towards a large sum of money. We are talking cash yeah people. For me, I had a brain-fart moment where I smiled and stared at the wall imagining how does it feel like to have that much cash in the bank account. After several minutes, I knew what I wanted to do with it.

Firstly, I would take 1 year off. Travel around the world, go as far as I could and as long as time allows. Not travelling where I eat at Michelin starred restaurants and do luxury shopping all the way with 3 bodyguards [Undeniably, it does sounds amazing!] but simple travelling like how I've always did.

Secondly,....

Okay I have got no idea. So thankful for what I already have. Maybe just keep it in the bank whilst I figure it out? What's yours? :D

Thank you for reading and Happy Wednesday!

Back In Those Days

Back in the 90's where all we had were Pilot Super-grips, 80cents for food and nothing else. For me, that money was either for spicy vermicelli soup or stationery. Who could resist hot dog shaped erasers, tiny notebook as large as a slice of cheese and mechanical pencils that have fake dangly crystals?! Oh dear, those days...

Met most of them when I was 7 years old. Time does fly because I've known them for almost 16 years now! It's beautiful to see how all of us grew into different directions in life. Some are studying abroad, some have migrated, most of us are working adults let it be with our own businesses or has just started climbing up the career ladder. Obviously not everyone turned up but I do hope we could all catch up again someday soon.

Oh yes. Chocolate milk truck, knee length socks, free Milo, school shoes with magnetic clasp, music classes, F4, coned ice-creams, spelling, duty roster and school bag as big as the box TV. I remember metal rulers were forbidden and using pen in class made me feel like a grown up. Anyone? :D

Happy Weekend <3

1 Book That Changed My Life

Are you looking for a simple, good yet sarcastic read? Spent a part of my 1st wage on several self-help books when I was 19 and that was the best decision I've ever made. I have never looked back since. Out of the few that I bought, "Follow your Heart" by Andrew Mathews is the favourite of mine. Well, aside from "Rich dad, Poor dad" by Robert Kiyosaki.

I would love to share a little insight on how my father educated us to do what we love and not what we have to. In conclusion, to follow our heart. Remember when I was a kid, my father told me:"One day, if you want to be a rubbish collector. Make sure you be the best rubbish collector in town!" If you've read "Rich dad, Poor dad', you will know that my father has the "Rich dad" mentality that encourages his children to do what they want and not what they should. In which he wouldn't stop us from being a rubbish collector. But empower us to shower our passion with effort and be the best we can be.

So if you're wondering how this book changed my life? Andrew Matthews educated me on how to not care about what others have to say about my life & gave me the courage to take a step out of my comfort zone. He taught me to quit doing something if it's not working, instead of whining, complaining about how miserable life is and dreading to get through it. Andrew did not encourage me to be a quitter but gave me a lesson in life. To either suck up or shut up.

So I guess this is why I don't complain about my life : ) Definitely pick up a book if you are feeling uninspired  *wink*

Twin-ing

LMAO. Salt n pepper outfit at this age made me cringe and we looked hilarious too but who cares? We were officially apart 10 years ago, now here we are at the age of 22 spending the weekend together and hopefully 10 more years down the road we still have the same young spirit in us :)

Back in those days we didn't have any money. $0.80 for a bowl of noodles & $0.50 for an ice-cream was already a luxury. Now, we could almost afford everything that we need and want. It makes me realize how fast time went by! However, the only thing that never changed was the fact that I am still shorter than her. T_T
